Formulation logic

LipSafe certification, as applied here, addresses the ingestion risk inherent to lip products. The brand's commitment to ingredients that qualify simultaneously as cosmetic- and food-grade sets a specific compositional boundary: any active or functional component must meet oral exposure safety thresholds, not just topical ones. The microplastic-free claim extends across the full ingredient deck, not just rinse-off elements. From a formulation standpoint, this constrains texture modifiers, film-formers, and any particulate exfoliants or optical blurs that typically rely on synthetic polymer beads or coated pigments. Practical implication: expect a narrower sensory palette — less slip, less cushion — unless the formulator leans on natural waxes, plant butters, or sugar-derived polymers.
